Responsability – the Economic, Financial and Administrative Department

The Economic, Financial and Administrative Department operates under the supervision of the President of the High Court of Cassation and Justice and is coordinated by the Vice-presidents of the High Court of Cassation and Justice.

The Economic, Financial and Administrative Department is headed by an economic manager, appointed by the President of the High Court of Cassation and Justice, under the law, based on a competitive process.

The following compartments operate in the structure of the Economic, Financial and Administrative Department:

  • the Financial and Accounting Service;
  • the Administrative Service;
  • the Human Resources Office. 

In the Administrative Service also includes the Administrative and Supply Office and the Vehicle Pool Office.

According to Article 106 of the Regulation for the Administrative Organization and Operation of the High Court of Review and Justice, the Economic, Financial and Administrative Department has the following duties and prerogatives:

  • to prepare draft job (title) and personnel lists of the High Court of Cassation and Justice;
  • to draft and substantiate draft budgets of the High Court of Cassation and Justice;
  • to execute budgets of the High Court of Cassation and Justice;
  • to prepare the financial and accounting works specified by law;
  • to prepare personnel and salary-related works;
  • to maintain and update records of judge vacancies existing with the High Court of Cassation and Justice and to transmit these to the Legal Informatics Service for publication on the website of the High Court of Cassation and Justice;
  • to maintain and update records of other vacancies existing with the High Court of Cassation and Justice;
  • to manage the assets existing in the estate of the High Court of Cassation and Justice;
  • to perform supply and transportation activities, as well as other activities required for the proper operation of the High Court of Cassation and Justice, such as current repairs, cleaning and guard;
  • to fulfill any other duties ordered by the President or Vice-presidents of the High Court of Cassation and Justice.
