Responsibilities – the International Relations Compartment

According to the Regulation on the Administrative Organization and Operation of the High Court of Cassation and Justice, the International Relations Compartment is headed by a chief assistant magistrate and has the following responsibilities:

  • to prepare works falling under the jurisdiction of the High Court of Cassation and Justice in the area of international relations;
  • to follow all orders received from the President and Vice-presidents of the High Court of Cassation and Justice in the area of international cooperation;
  • to ensure cooperation of the High Court of Cassation and Justice with foreign institutions;
  • to ensure preparation and mailing of correspondence abroad;
  • to prepare documentary materials for delegations of the High Court of Cassation and Justice travelling abroad;
  • to deal with obtaining passports and visas for trips abroad;
  • to organize protocol activities of the High Court of Cassation and Justice and to provide simultaneous translation in such activities;
  • to welcome and accompany foreign and national delegations under the program approved by the President or Vice-presidents of the High Court of Cassation and Justice;
  • to ensure translation of the correspondence with foreign countries, of judgments by the European Court for Human Rights, of reports received from international organizations, and of materials for the delegations of the High Court of Cassation and Justice;
  • to prepare any other works and to fulfill all duties in the area of international relations ordered by the President and Vice-presidents of the High Court of Cassation and Justice.
