The joint jurisprudence portal for Supreme Courts throughout the European Union

Portal:

Short description:

  • The portal is not a database, but a giant search engine for the jurisprudence of the European Union Member States and the two observer states (Norway and Lichtenstein), where you may search by typing several keywords between quotes, directly in your official language (therefore also in Romanian).
  • The search engine will then select the relevant jurisprudence for all the states included in the portal (a total of 30 states).
  • The search results will be displayed in the language of the selected court judgment.
  • It is important to bear in mind that the portal can display the translation of the court judgments in 21 of the 23 official languages of the European Union.
  • Generally, you can search court judgments without specifying an exact period of time, with the exception of 5 states (Spain, France, Great Britain, The Netherlands and Bulgaria), for which the search must be made based on an exact period. Therefore in the case of Romania (the High Court of Review and Justice) you needn't specify a time period.
